Coating a shop without closing for the week

How we install commercial floors after-hours so your business doesn't lose a day.

The most common reason commercial clients put off a floor coating is downtime. A 10,000 square foot shop floor takes time to coat — but it doesn't have to take your business offline.

How after-hours scheduling works

We quote commercial jobs in sections. A section is typically the area one crew can grind, prime, flake, and topcoat in a single shift. For most shops, that's 2,000–3,000 square feet per night.

We arrive after your last shift, work through the night, and the section is walkable before your crew arrives the next morning. Drive-on ready by the following day. You lose zero production hours.

What we need from you

Access to the space, a working 20-amp circuit for the grinder, and any floor drains marked with tape. We handle all masking, equipment, cleanup, and ventilation. For auto shops, we ask that vehicles be moved to the lot — we'll work around fixed lifts if needed, but walk-around clearance of 4 feet on each side is ideal.

Typical commercial timeline

A 5,000 sq ft shop floor typically runs 3 nights: grind night, primer + flake night, topcoat night. We build in a buffer night in case of any issues, so most clients are fully done within a standard work week with no disruption to operations.

Pricing and project minimums

Commercial after-hours work starts at $4/sq ft for standard flake systems with a 1,500 sq ft minimum. High-traffic areas with ESD requirements, food-safe coatings, or broadcast aggregate are priced separately. Get in touch and we'll walk the floor before we quote anything.
