When to book your pool-deck coating

Book in winter, install in early spring. Why timing your project pays off.

Pool decks are our most seasonal job. If you wait until June to call, you're looking at a midsummer install in full sun, a weeks-long backlog, and peak pricing. If you call in December or January, you get your pick of dates and often better pricing too.

Why timing matters for decks specifically

Polyaspartic cures faster in heat — that's usually a benefit, but on a pool deck in direct July sun, the working time gets compressed enough that larger pours require a second crew. More labor, higher cost.

An early spring install — March or April in Boise — gives us moderate temperatures, longer working windows, and a finished deck that's fully cured well before Memorial Day weekend.

Our ideal pool deck season runs from late February through May, then picks up again in September and October. Summer installs happen, but we charge a heat premium and schedule them for early morning starts to beat the worst of the afternoon sun.

What booking in winter actually means

You don't pay anything until a week before install. The deposit locks your date — typically $500 for residential decks — and the balance is due on completion. We send a reminder 2 weeks out and will reschedule once for free if weather is an issue near your install date.
